Unlike the Seven, the Elemental Court rarely intervenes in politics.

Many rural shrines actually honor both a member of the Seven and an Elemental Lord.

The Great Enemy

All Seven united during the First Compact against the Fourfold End.

In temple artwork, the Seven are often depicted standing in a circle around four shadowy figures:

  • War
  • Famine
  • Pestilence
  • Death

The priests teach that no single god could defeat them alone.

Only unity prevented the world's destruction.

Which makes the rise of the Cult of the Fourfold End especially frightening.

Because the Cult's ultimate goal is not merely to overthrow kings.

It is to prove that the Seven were wrong—and that the world should end so that something new can take its place.
