Early Life: 

Elara Anne Carelian was born to trumpets blaring and a three-day festival in her honor. She was an extraordinary child with a strong sense of social justice and fierce ambition. She attended The Royal Preparatory Academy during her formative years, and was accepted into the prestigious Crown Academy, a rigid institution which develops and educates defenders of the faith and the crown of Kethira. 

Crown Academy and her Oath:

She graduated second in her class from the academy, and was immediately sent to her regiment at the Temple of the Crown in Morgansfort to begin her noble duty. She remained in frequent contact with her older sister Pernumbra, and remained active in her royal duties while a member of the King's Regiment, her father's own organization of elite warriors. Three years ago, she led a company of elite warriors to repel an invasion of undead on the City of Slateholm, and her exploits made her a national hero.  

Her Greatest Challenge:

One year ago, she and Pernumbra learned they have a half-sister named Rhea, and quickly found her. Elara aspired to build on her reputation as a hero, and vowed to bring the renowned criminal Acroyear to justice. Rhea returned and provided Elara with the information needed to find Acroyear. Elara took a group of eight of her closest warriors to find Acroyear at his cliffside lair. However, this would not be the great victory she envisioned as Acroyear's security forces defeated Elara's warriors, and Elara herself was taken captive by the sadistic Acroyear. She would be held in captivity for six months until an adventuring party led by Elly Hallow would rescue her, and she returned to Morgansfort shortly after. Elara has recovered from her ordeal, and is continuing to hone her skills as she forms a new party to find and defeat Acroyear.

Kethira - The Region and its Geography

  About Kethira:  (Scale: 1 hex = 26 miles) In the country of Kethira, it is sixty-seven years after the end of the War Of Black Ash. The current king is King Zerne II, a king whose best years are behind him. King Zerne II has reigned on the throne for 22 years now, succeeding his mother, Queen Zauriel. Zerne’s steady leadership has brought stability to the region, but that does not mean the dangers are not present.   Kethira is a peninsula that is surrounded on three sides by the Sea of Erone. Its southern boundary is the Eurne River. The country is split by the Eurdona Mountains, and the towns and cities are mainly on the eastern side.   The western side of the Thurdona Mountains is a “No Man’s Land”. This region is called the Land of Null, and they are ruled by the Lich-King, Nhal-Vorath. The land remains in a perpetual state of gray, with undead and monsters inhabiting the forests. The Free Clans are independent peoples who owe allegiance to their own traditions rather than the Crown of Kethira.
